For Grandparents & Great-Grandparents Raising the Next Generation

Because Love Doesn’t Retire.

The Grand Legacy Program is a free, inclusive support initiative by Families United created especially for grandparents and great-grandparents who are raising grandchildren or adult grandchildren—whether due to incarceration, illness, loss, addiction, or other family hardships.

We know the challenges of parenting a second time around. Whether you're caring for a young child, a teenager, or an adult grandchild with developmental disabilities, you deserve guidance, support, and a village behind you.

The Grand Legacy Program provides personalized advocacy, emotional support, educational tools, and emergency resources so that you never have to walk this journey alone.

Who We Serve

We proudly support:

Grandparents and great-grandparents raising children with or without disabilities
Caregivers of children impacted by trauma, behavioral challenges, or system involvement
Grandfamilies navigating IEPs, Regional Center services, or social service systems
Grandparents caring for adult grandchildren with developmental disabilities

What We Offer

What Our Families Say

“I became a full-time parent again in my 60s. It was overwhelming—but Families United wrapped around me with resources, wisdom, and real help. I didn’t just survive—I found a community that sees me.”
